Asiamold, the Guangzhou International Mould & Die Exhibition, returns this year with a range of solutions for an even larger audience. The fair, occurring from 19 – 21 September 2012, has been designed as a one-stop sourcing platform for a number of manufacturing-based industries. Professionals involved in automobiles, electronics, home appliances, aerospace technology, ship building, telecommunications, consumer goods and medial device manufacturing will discover solutions to all phases of mould design and production at the three-day fair. Taking place at the Poly World Trade Centre Expo, Guangzhou, China, the fair will play host to 400 exhibitors this year from 15 countries and regions.

The 2012 fair will showcase some of the world’s foremost specialists in mould and die technology. Whether visitors are interested in product design and manufacture or the integration of mould and die machinery into their production line, Asiamold 2012 features highly-regarded specialists in each respective field. - Mould-making – Friedrich Molds Ltd, a new exhibitor to Asiamold, is a 40-year industry leader in technical and liquid conduction products.

- Machinery – Shin Wu Machinery Trading Co Ltd is an agent of Mitsubishi Electric. The firm will showcase its MV series of mould and die machinery with an intelligent AT, optical drive, precise finishing circuit, natural user interface and more.

National and regional pavilions as well as thematic zones also return to the spotlight at this year’s fair. Four pavilions will be hosted by delegations from China, Europe, Hong Kong and Japan. Thematic zones will offer a more focused direction to the fair’s attendees by classifying a number of exhibitors in one of two areas: “Automold and Engineering” or “Electronics Product Design and Mould-making”.

High-calibre firms expected in this year’s buying delegations

Since the premier fair, Asiamold has attracted buyers from some of the world’s most influential companies, and the 2012 fair is expecting one of the best turnouts of decision-making buyers to date. To name a few, buying representatives from LEGO Company, Tyco Electronics, Philips Respironics Medical Production Ltd, Sennheiser GmbH and Co KG, Adidas Sourcing Limited and Mattel have all registered to attend the fair.

In order to help buyers effectively source products from the right suppliers, the fair’s organiser has introduced the “VIP Matching Salon Service”. This tailor-made program will be used by representatives from companies such as Midea, Panasonic, BYD, Honda and BMW to present their purchasing requirements to qualified suppliers.

During the three-day event, Dongguan Electronic Industry Association, a supporter of Asiamold, is bringing a buying delegation of more than 300 representatives of its member companies. Individuals within the delegation range from purchase, production and R&D managers to CEOs.

Seminars will provide insight to the industry’s future trends

A number of seminars and forums are scheduled to take place at Asiamold 2012. One event, the Asiamold Global Mold Making Technology Innovation Summit, will offer attendees the chance to learn about current and future trends as well as the latest technology in the overall mould-making industry. Attendees will also be able to hear about current demands from end-users and identify potential partners for future opportunities. Discussions at the summit will focus on topics such as, ATOS Blu-ray scanning and detection application, the use of mould flow analysis technology, ultra-precision moulds and mirror manufacturing technology and more.

In addition to being the organiser of the Hong Kong pavilion, the Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technologies and Manufacturing Industries (FITMI) has organised several seminars at the fair. The associated seminars will include support and participation from the Hong Kong Applied Science & Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks (HKSTP) as well as Nano and Advanced Materials Center (NAMI).
